Transportation Programs

Fee based

In Town Transportation

Drives provided within the town limits for social, recreational, personal, medical or shopping needs. Book nine trips receive the 10th trip FREE.

Out of Town Medical Transportation

For those who are required to attend a medical appointment outside of our area.

Volunteer Drivers Needed:

Do you have spare time, recently retired, want to set your own hours and like to receive reimbursement for drives that is not taxable income?  If so, we are in need of Volunteer Drivers to support our Out of Town Medical Transportation Program.  All drivers are reimbursed at a rate of .40 cents per kilometer.

Our Volunteer Driving Program relies solely on the generosity and community spirit of individuals willing to take us this cause to help residents of our community who do not have means of transportation to get to their medical appointments outside of Arnprior.  Our volume of calls has increased in the past five years from providing an average of 250 Out of Town drives to now providing 600 plus drives per month with ever decreasing volunteer resources.

Para Transit

Our Care Coach, the only one serving this area, is designed to meet the transportation needs of individuals of all ages who require specialized Para Transit (wheelchair) transportation to any area. Since February 4, 2008 our Care Coach Para Transit vehicle has provided a total of 18,622 trips.

Extended Transportation

For those who reside outside of the town limits of Arnprior and Township of McNab Braeside.
