Foot Care Nurse (RN/RPN)

Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors At Home Program Inc. is a non-profit, charitable Community Support Service Agency partially funded by the Ministry of Health providing vital Home Support Programs to seniors 55 and over, disabled and individuals with special needs within the Town of Arnprior and Township of McNab/Braeside since 1980

Job Summary:

Seniors At Home Program is hiring Experienced Foot Care Nurses to provide professional services to a robust clientele.  Nurses will be working in an office clinic setting within the Town of Arnprior.  Be passionate about your profession and empathetic with an effective ability to build rapport with clients.

Hours of Work:

1-2 days/week or more depending on clientele volume – 8:00am to 4:00pm

Days/Hours maybe altered to meet clinic needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Foot Care Nurse is responsible for ensuring quality of the Foot Care services to clients.

Conduct foot assessments continually, provide a foot care treatment.

Continually assesses, anticipates, identifies, and responds to new and changing needs of clients and provide referrals when deemed necessary.

Determine and carry out appropriate advanced foot care nursing interventions.

Communicates available agency program resources to clients when appropriate.

Co-ordinate and ensure all supplies and related equipment are secured, properly set up and fully operational.


RN/RPN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

Advanced and Diabetic Foot Care certificate is required.

Prior experience in foot care.

Must have Professional License Insurance.

Maintain approved cleaning and sterilization techniques for all instrumentation and tools used.

Follow all infection control best practices and guidelines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Valid “G” driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle.

Ability to effectively manage time and priorities.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector is required upon hire.

$25.00 per hour plus health benefits after a 3-month probationary period
