Volunteering

“We can’t always do great things, but we can do small things with great love”
Mother Theresa

Make a Difference in the life of a senior: Volunteer Volunteers, they are the reason our Agency has been successful since opening in 1980 and the reason we are able to continue to offer seniors, age 60  and over and those with special needs, no matter the age, a variety of programs designed to encourage independent living and enhance quality of life. ABMSH celebrated 37 years in September 2017 and as the Agency continues to grow, so does the need for volunteers. Presently we are putting out a call for volunteers in the areas of:

  • Volunteer Drivers for the delivery of Hot Meals on Wheels
Volunteers are required to deliver hot meals to designated clients one day a week from 11:00 am to 12 noon. These meals are prepared by the kitchen staff of The Grove nursing home. Drivers are required to pick-up at The Grove and deliver to the individual homes. (Jennifer Stratton, Program Coordinator)

If you would like to become a part of our team of volunteers, please complete the Volunteer Application and return to Volunteer Coordinator Marg Bourk or drop off at our office attention Marg Bourke.  Your Volunteer Application must be accompanied by a Police Check Form which is available at our office. There is NO FEE attached to the police check form but it is required before all Volunteering Positions can commence.
