Annual Seniors Christmas Party – December 19, 2023
Seniors at Home hosted their annual Seniors Christmas Party at the Parish Hall. Thanks to Schmitt’s Catering for the delicious food. Thanks to Rick, Pat and Jean from the Heartbeats (a.k.a The 3 of Hearts) for the wonderful music. Thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time to event. Thanks to all who attended to make it such a special day. And of course, thanks to all the sponsors who supported us in various ways: Carp Commons Retirement Village, Island View Suites, Pilon Family Funeral Home, Boyce Funeral Home, The Knights Inn, Exquisite Decor Event Rentals, TAAG Accounting, Rona and Mel’s Flowers.

Chili Fest 2023
A huge THANK YOU to Aspira Island View for once again hosting Chili Fest 2023! The judges, Mayor Lisa McGee, Adrian Moyes of the Arnprior Rivermen and Jennifer Charlebois-Robillard of Desjardins Insurance, had quite the challenge sampling and judging the best Chili in town!
The judges awarded the following:
Grand Chili Champion to Aspira Island View, 2nd Place to Biryani House, 3rd Place to Negi’s Family Bistro and Pub
We wish to thank the participating restaurants who rose to the challenge and were nothing short than amazing! They include:

Annual Memorial Butterfly Release – August 20, 2023
The sun, smiles and spirits were plentiful at this year’s Annual Memorial Butterfly Release at Robert Simpson Park!
Thanks to our two sponsors, Pilon Family Funeral Home and SAF & Co. Aesthetics of Arnprior, our event surpassed our goal and managed to raise over $7,000 in proceeds to support local seniors and individuals with special needs!
We wish thank our amazing volunteers, Tony Bove for his beautiful musical performance, The Town of Arnprior for their assistance in the set-up, Lisa Smith of Boyce’s Funeral Home, Andre, Gina and Phil Pilon of Pilon Family Funeral Home, in helping to make this event the greatest Release yetl!
Our next Memorial Butterfly Release is planned for August 18, 2024. Butterflies are now on sale and we encourage everyone to buy early!

Poker Run Show, Shine and BBQ – August 24, 2023
It was a stellar Saturday for the 2023 Poker Run Show, Shine and BBQ in Arnprior!
A huge THANK YOU to Valley Cruisers and Valley Rent Rite for hosting the 2023 Annual Poker Run. We want to thank all participants, entertainers, and amazing volunteers for their support! In total, close to $1500 was raised for Arnprior Braeside McNab Seniors at Home Program Inc.
We would also like to thankThe Nasty Rides Car Club for their donation, Joe’s Produce Stand and Giant Tiger for their support towards the BBQ!
Finally, CONGRATULATIONS to Corey Godkin for being this year’s Poker Run winner who walked away with a snazzy, STIHL chainsaw donated by Valley Rent Rite!
Seniors BBQ in the Park – July 20, 2023
The sun was shining on Robert Simpson Park for Seniors at Home’s 22nd Annual Seniors BBQ in the Park. Thanks to all who made it out for the food, music and fun community event. Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home would like to thank all the wonderful volunteers who allow this event to happen. Our event raised over $3500 in support of Arnprior Braeside McNab Seniors at Home Programs!
A special shout out to Hear Canada our local Giant Tiger and Mike’s No Frills for their generous donations towards our BBQ! We look forward to our next fundraiser at The Annual Poker Run Show & Shine + BBQ in Arnprior on August 5th.

Annual Shred-Day Event a Huge Success – May 16, 2023
Seniors At Home would like to thank our amazing community for their support of our Annual Shred Day Event fundraiser. Over 250 boxes were destroyed by the professionals at DATASHRED Security and a relief to so many seniors! Together, we raised over $2500. We wish to send a HUGE SHOUT OUT to our wonderful volunteers and businesses who participated in this event. Without their support, we could not fulfill our mission to helping those who need it the most!
